Legume is a family-run restaurant located in the North Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The original 34-seat Legume opened in 2007 in Regent Square with the goal of serving simple seasonal food in a gracious and friendly manner. In 2011, Legume moved to its current, larger location. The continually evolving menu is the result of a seven-year long conversation between customers, growers, cooks, servers and bartenders. We love Pittsburgh and do our best to express all of the wonderful things about this city in the work we do.
Kids' Day at Legume:
Sunday, November 9th, 10a-2p
Know a kid age 8-12 who loves to cook? On Kids' Day at Legume, we're offering cooking demos with Chef Trevett Hooper, Pastry Chef Amanda Barbano, Butcher Tyler Mossman, Outreach Coordinator Heather McNeil and high school student Hannah Foley. Kids will learn cooking techniques while helping to prepare some of Legume's favorite kid-friendly dishes for lunch and then sit down and eat a meal together.
Tickets are $10 a kid; all ticket sales go to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
